On Loving Rain
I'm the highest
note drifting into
your mind
allow me to open up
your sweet cells
one-by-one
and live there
whispering poems on
the tenderest parts
of your flesh
until there comes
a time
when others say
to you:
how are you?
and you'll speak
in lilacs
confessing feelings
as perfect and small
the rain drops
hidden inside your
mauve petals...

Ur so right, Nadege. You said it perfectly. And yes half my family is Puerto Rican, so I need to really get up on it. Haha.
ReplyDeleteAnd sign language is beautiful... I wanna add it to the methods I reach people: Poetry, Painting, Singing, Dancing (working on it), and Sign Language. I'm so excited working on new projects and with new people. This is def a significant time in my life.
